I have finished knitting and sewing Trevor’s hats! The patches ended up being just perfect on them. The first one is in Seattle Seahawks colors for his Daddy’a favorite football team:
The second hat is knit in the Minnesota Twins colors for his Mommy’s favorite baseball team:
The personalized football patch was bought from Patch Nation on etsy. The baseball one I purchased from JALittleSparkle, also on etsy. The owner of JALittleSparkle was really helpful. When I ordered the original patch it ended up being much too large for the already knit newborn hat. My fault – I misjudged the measurements. So I contacted the shop owner and she whipped up a custom order in a smaller size for me. I think its perfect.
Then I found the pattern for a bunny pillow I had as a little girl. It was my favorite stuffed animal for years. It was one of those Sew & Stuff patterns from the 1970’s. Anyways, I saw one online somewhere and I was on a mission to find it. Then I stumbled upon aPEACEofCLOTHING and she had the fabric! I got it in the mail today, and promptly sewed him up and stuffed him full.
He’s so cute. And familiar. Its like he was never lost at all. I got my daughter a different design of a patchwork kitten, and she is working on it now.
